GEORGETOWN -- Pockets of snow might still be littering the streets of D.C., but spring was in full bloom at Cady’s Alley on Wednesday night as Warrenton, Virginia-based fashion designer
Cynthia Bapst offered the city’s animal lovers a sneak preview of the Spring/Summer Collection for her
Union of Angels label.
Hosted by
Fashion for Paws models
April Jones Firoozabadi,
Rokas Beresniovas, and
Wendy J. Gordon (also this year’s Executive Committee Co-Chair), all door donations and even a portion of sales from the evening benefited the Washington Humane Society directly.
Close to 150 guests turned-out to sample
L2 Lounge’s signature cocktail menu, while browsing racks of linen and cotton pieces that can best be described as “flowy and feminine….with a Bohemian-Cali twist.”
Collection pieces were reasonably priced around $100-$150 with a portion of clothing sales benefiting the Washington Humane Society.
A respected designer with strong ties to Nashville’s music industry – Union of Angels will be showcasing its pieces during Nashville Fashion Week and is the label of choice for two of the city’s record labels – Cynthia spent much of the evening mingling with guests, answering questions about fashion, and doling out styling tips.
Just goes to show that a little bit of Southern hospitality can indeed go a long way…
