Guest of honor Lauren Bush (pictured left) touted the success of FEED Projects in helping the World Food Program and UNICEF at last night's celebration.
CHEVY CHASE, Md. -- Billed as “a single city block of highly advanced style,”
The Collection at Chevy Chase more than lived-up to its reputation on Tuesday evening, as
Capitol File Magazine hosted a private anniversary party for the neighborhood timed to coincide with the launch of the publication’s Spring Fashion issue.
With cover personality
Lauren Bush (otherwise known as the soon-to-be Lauren
Lauren with her pending nuptials to Ralph Lauren’s 39-year-old son, David) serving as the night’s guest of honor, hundreds of stylish Washingtonians turned-out for the private affair held inside a crisp white tent just off of Wisconsin Avenue.
The evening’s guest list boasted many of the city’s best-dressed, including representatives from a variety of luxury brands and fashion houses.
From the army of valets that greeted them at the curb to the platters of both sweet (gourmet push-up pops) and savory (bites of fresh lobster) treats being passed around to the open
Belvedere Vodka bars, guests – which included many of the city’s style icons as well as representatives from luxury brands like Tiffany & Co., Gucci, and Louis Vuitton -- were provided with a truly memorable evening from start to finish.
Gourmet push-up pops were but one of the treats being circulated about last night’s party.
A philanthropist and activist, in addition to a fashion model, designer, and businesswoman, Lauren delivered a series of brief remarks midway through the celebration thanking everyone for their support and highlighting the accomplishments of
FEED Projects, a program that she co-founded in 2007 benefiting the
United Nations World Food Program.
Guests were given the opportunity to purchase a variety of FEED bags in support of the United Nations World Food Program.

FEED bags, much to the delight of stylish D.C. do-gooders!
