NORTHWEST -- Fresh from a sold-out show at 14th Street’s
Black Cat music venue, New York City-based indiepop band
The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart (POBPAH) spent the remaining part of its Friday night (and Saturday morning) on top of the world – well, on top of the
W Washington, D.C. at least – for a crowded after-party hosted by
BrightestYoungThings.
POBPAH, Twin Shadow, and BYT drew hundreds of fans to the W.
With
Twin Shadow (real name
George Lewis, Jr.) serving as the opening performer, guests began lining-up for the late night party at the White House-adjacent luxury hotel just after 10:00 p.m.
Good guy/girl ratio...
And after taking one of the red rope-lined elevators to its signature rooftop deck, they were quickly ushered into
P.O.V’s indoor lounge, which had been outfitted with a temporary performance stage for the evening.
A few minutes after midnight, a clearly energized POBPAH joined Twin Shadow on-stage for a series of collaborative sets that set the tone for the party.
Clearly, a serious crowd...
Amidst signature cocktails from the bar and bottles of champagne, the District’s hippest music lovers then proceeded to dance the night away in the backlit shadows of the Washington Monument.
Stay tuned for
What “happens” next D.C.!
