NORTHWEST -- Producers are the unsung heroes behind every movie and TV show. They hire and fire everyone from the celebrity actors to the big name directors to the caterers and gaffers. And up until last year, D.C.’s producers lacked an organized voice in the industry.
It was therefore a milestone indeed when the National Capital Chapter of the
Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced its first anniversary party.
An industry party in the truest sense, Thursday night’s low-key bash drew dozens of area producers to M Street’s
Hudson Restaurant and Lounge for an evening of networking and celebrating.
Hudson
Executive Chef Demetrio Zavala had prepared a special cocktail buffet for guests and sponsor
VeeV Açaí Spirit kept the drinks flowing.
PGA National Executive Director
Vance Van Petten served as the evening’s special guest and offered-up an end-of-evening toast to the local chapter’s first anniversary.
Unsung no longer…
