Door donations to the night's 'Pink to Drink' fundraiser benefited Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
PENN QUARTER -- Tomorrow, thousands of breast cancer survivors, their friends, family, and supporters will take to the National Mall for the
2011 Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure run or walk.
As a way of participating in this worldwide effort to eradicate breast cancer while simultaneously supporting the local community, Modern Luxury’s
DC Magazine and the professional, civic, and social organization known as
The Madison held a special ‘Pink to Drink’ fundraiser on Thursday evening, on the rooftop deck of
MUSE Lounge in Penn Quarter.
A $5.00 suggested door donation benefiting the Komen Global Race bought guests access to bottomless ‘Madison Martini’ cocktails, with a full beer and wine menu also available.
Invitations to the benefit suggested that attendees show off their finest pink attire and most eagerly rose to the occasion, as dresses, skirts, shirts, and shoes in all shades of pink flowed through the doors.
Indeed, with up to 75% of the race’s net income staying in the Washington, D.C. area to fund breast cancer screening, treatment and education programs, more than a few pink drinks were raised in toast yesterday!
