GEORGETOWN -- The July humidity broke just long enough for GQ "Style Guy" Glenn O'Brien to descend on Washington, D.C. for an evening hosted by local mover and shaker Robert Finfer, President & CEO of Integrity Capital Partners, at distinguished Georgetown restaurant Neyla.

Brendan Kownacki Goes One-on-One with GQ’s “Style Guy”.

Michael Yo of both E! News and the Chelsea Handler Show fame traveled from Los Angeles to co-host the event in honor of O'Brien's newest fashion tome "How to be a Man: A Guide To Style and Behavior For The Modern Gentleman" published by Rizzoli New York.

This latest work explores those elements of a modern man's taste and public demeanor that earn him the title "Gentleman". When asked what he thought of D.C. style O'Brien quipped, "The women dress better than the men." However, the evening's guests certainly set out to prove this statement false.

Glenn O’Brien and DC United CEO Kevin Payne.

Among the custom suited set was DC United CEO Kevin Payne, Alan Meltzer, Founder of the Meltzer group (TITLE), Diageo executive and son of Mayor Gray, Carlos Gray, 94.7 Fresh FM morning radio personality Tommy McFLY, Robert Devaney of The Georgetowner, Michael Clements of Washington Life magazine and Neyla's General Manager Souheil Moussadik.

Not to be overlooked was the room's high-heeled attendees that read like a who's who of Washington's fashion media including Katherine Boyle of Fashion Washington, Washington Post style writer Sarah Kaufman, and Capitol File Editor-in-Chief Kate Bennett.

Neyla’s diligent staff circulated platters of savory appetizers.

All guests enjoyed signature sidecar and mint julep cocktails provided by event partner Rémy Martin as well as refreshing custom iced tea mixed by The Teaologist's Jennie Ripps. O'Brien graciously signed copies of his newest work for guests and regaled the crowd with stories of his days as a Georgetown student when he worked as both a Safeway employee and local barista.

The Tealogist kept guests hydrated with a custom iced tea mix.

The evening ended in an unofficial post party at Cady's Alley members only club L2 Lounge, attended by O'Brien, where those invited to the GQ event carried the magazine's newest issue featuring cover star Chris Evans, star of upcoming summer blockbuster "Captain America".
