Trey Songz, Big Sean, Young Jeezy, John Wall Hit SAX For Music Exec Kevin Liles’ Birthday Bash!

NORTHWEST -- Mere minutes after his crowded ‘Anticipation 2our’ performance at DAR Constitution Hall on Saturday evening, R&B and hip hop star Trey Songz could be found inside the VIP area of SAX Restaurant & Lounge, for record executive Kevin Liles’ private birthday bash.

As President of Def Jam Recordings and Executive Vice President of The Island Def Jam Music Group from 1999 to 2004, Liles worked with everyone from Jay-Z to Beyonce to P. Diddy to Mary J. Blige. And since early 2010, the Baltimore native has also served as Songz’s manager, thereby explaining Songz’s cheery demeanor at yesterday’s event.

Thrown by The Standard Events and Grey Goose’s new Cherry Noir vodka flavor, Saturday’s guest list-only party saw some 200 revelers pack both floors of SAX’s sleekly lit entertainment space, with the upstairs bar area serving as an exclusive ‘vVIP’ space for Liles, Songz, fellow ‘2our’ performer Big Sean, rapper Young Jeezy, and Washington Wizards point guard John Wall, among others.

Many of Wall’s fellow Wizards, such as Jordan Crawford, Trevor Booker, JaVale McGee, Rashard Lewis, Andray Blatche, and Roger Mason, were also in attendance, however, many preferred SAX’s massive lower bar area to the red-roped second floor.
