CHEVY CHASE, Md. -- Over a dozen both local and national media personalities will arrive at work today with an added dose of sartorial standing after attending a special VIP shopping event on Wednesday evening hosted by
Mamie's Mile.

Founded by
LushClick Editor-in-Chief and former CNN correspondent
Elizabeth Manresa and
McDermott Will & Emery partner
Teddy Eynon in memory of daughter
Mamie Grace, who was born with Down Syndrome and sadly passed away after suffering complications from heart surgery, the nonprofit seeks to raise funds for the
National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) in advocating for the “value, acceptance and inclusion” of people with the genetic condition.

Held on the upper two levels of
Bloomingdale’s of Chevy Chase, yesterday’s self-described “night of fun and games” represented one of Mamie's Mile’s signature benefits of the year, with 10% of proceeds earmarked for NDSS.

Ladies, which included award-winning news anchors
Laura Evans,
Angie Goff, and
Rebecca Cooper, among others, were invited to peruse the newest designer spring fashions while sipping tall glasses of bubbly.

Simultaneously, their guy counterparts could kick back with a “Grumpy Old Man” (bourbon, ginger ale, lime juice), while celebrating March Madness, in a designated Microsoft Lounge one floor above.
Doug Davenport,
Willie Gaynor, and
Tommy McFLY were but three of the men who turned out to show their support.

Boasting an all-star host committee that counts everyone from
Bret Baier to
Brianna Keilar to
Norah O'Donnell to
Dana Perino as members, Mamie's Mile raised more than $10,000 in 2011 alone.

The organization’s next event will be a one mile charity walk to be held on Saturday, May 19th in the District.
