Irish Whiskey Fuels Luck ‘O The Madison; Happy Hour Delivers Pot Of Gold To Service Member Kids!

DUPONT CIRCLE -- With the goal of delivering a veritable pot of gold to its designated charity for 2012, members of The Madison were joined by friends and family on Wednesday night for a Saint Patrick’s Day-themed happy hour fundraiser.



Cleverly dubbed the “Luck ‘O the Madison”, yesterday’s benefit saw close to a hundred supporters crowd the lower level of recently opened Irish Whiskey Public House for drinks and an appropriately Irish dinner menu.


Tall glasses of Guinness were paired with celebratory shots of Jameson and summarily dispatched by guests between bites of savory fare, such as Irish Beef Stew. A few daring guests were rumored to even have downed a round of Irish Car Bomb cocktails in the spirit of the holiday!


A generous 15% of the bar and restaurant tab from the evening was donated by Irish Whiskey to The Madison, which will be promptly turned over to the No Greater Sacrifice charity.


Founded in 2008, NGS is committed to helping the children of fallen and wounded members of the United States’ Armed Services. The 501(c)3 organization was The Madison’s charity of choice for 2011 in addition to the current year.


After all, even the luck of the Irish can stand to benefit from a little extra help, right?
