TYSONS CORNER, Va. -- The Microsoft Store in Tysons Corner, Virginia held a very special ‘Say Thanks to Mom’ Mother’s Day workshop last week.
The event featured local mom blogger Michele McGraw, founder of " Scraps of My Geek Life" showing area techies how to use Microsoft Paint and Photo Gallery to make Mother's Day cards, albums, gifts, etc.
Guests included Elizabeth Thorp of Poshbrood.com, Lynn Norusis of Northern Virginia Magazine, Amy Suski and Claudine Kurp (with baby Ava) of DC Metro Mom, Jessica Claire Haney of Crunchy Chewy Mama, Monica Barnette of Blueprint for Style, Elizabeth Jones of Dulles Moms, Leticia Barr of Tech Savvy Mama, Thien Kim of I’m not the Nanny, Elaine Maag of Connor and Helen Grow Up, Huffington Post tech writers, Ann Tran and Sean Gardener, Amy Mascott of Teach Mama, Kristina Schnack of PWCMoms and Kimberly Robinson of "Makin' Whoopie."
One lucky attendee even walked away with the ultimate ‘thanks’ in the form of a brand new (pink) ASUS notebook. Pretty sweet parental swag, no?
