Sun Shines On Room & Board’s Rooftop; Annual Summer Party Touts New Outdoor Collection!

U STREET CORRIDOR -- As wool makes its retreat into the back closets of Washingtonians everywhere and cotton and linen steal sartorial focus, it’s clear that warmer weather is upon the city.

And that means plenty of barbeques, pool parties, and other forms of outdoor entertainment will soon be in the cards for D.C. residents.

As a seasonal thank you to its loyal and local customer base, the U Street Corridor-based outpost of home furnishing retailer Room & Board hosted its second annual summer rooftop party last week.

With panoramic views of the surrounding neighborhood, guests enjoyed a flowing St. Germain cocktail bar, tropical bites from Design Cuisine, and the soothing sounds of a live steel drum band.

Greg Benson, one of the minds behind eco-friendly, modern outdoor furniture manufacturer Loll Designs, was also in attendance and gave a short presentation on the inner workings of his company.

Indeed, Room & Board’s outdoor furniture itself was a primary draw for attendees, with dozens of stylishly-clad guests lounging and laughing about the store.
