Third Edition Tiki Bash Buys Scores Of iPads For Soldiers!

GEORGETOWN -- Although we never need a reason to come together for a good cause, the gorgeous weekend weather made the Tiki Bash at Third Edition the perfect home for DC’s First ‘iPads for Soldiers’ Fundraiser.



The Tiki Bar was filled with guests dawning their finest (and brightest) summer attire, festive lei’s, and big smiles as they all came to support a cause near and dear to all of our hearts, our troops. As the name suggests, iPads for Soldiers collects donations to purchase iPads for US soldiers serving in Afghanistan.



Angie Jusino, Abby Kohlman, and Frank Swain joined forces with Founder, Winnie Pritchett to raise not only donations, but awareness in the Metropolitan area. Winnie, whose son Wes was serving in Afghanistan, realized the needs of troops risking their lives far away from their homes and loved ones. iPads for Soldiers is a non-profit serving veterans and our military, dedicated to helping other young people overcome their personal limitations and find freedom of expression, comfort, support and enjoy life despite challenges.


Thanks to the generosity of the community, they were able to host a raffle that only raised a lot of money, but also excitement for those who were lucky enough to take home one of the fabulous prizes donated.


The Tiki gods surely approved.
