DLE Agency President Doug Eldridge and two-time Olympian Bobby Lea.
NORTHEAST -- With the commanding dome of the U.S. Capitol peaking out above the trees just a few blocks away, a casual group of Washington notables gathered at the historic row house that makes-up the offices of sports and entertainment communications firm
DLE Agency over the weekend, for a reception of Olympic proportions. Literally.
For among the talkative crowd that had assembled was two-time U.S. Olympic Cycling Team member
Bobby Lea. Lea, of course, rode in Beijing in 2008 and just qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. His face will soon be popping-up on TV screens and in magazines across the world, with planned appearances scheduled for
Sports Illustrated, ESPN, NBC, and
People to name but a few outlets.
Joining Lea at Friday’s reception was professional golfer and TV personality
Aubrey McCormick. A Missouri State graduate, McCormick turned pro in 2007 and recently joined the cast of the Golf Channel’s popular reality show “The Big Break”, with two more shows on the network also in the works.
With approximately two dozen clients on its roster, including members of both the NFL and NBA, DLE Agency has its hands in virtually every aspect of the District’s sports establishment, with ambitious plans to continue expanding. Founded by
Douglas L. Eldridge in 2007, the company strives to give back to the community by mentoring students from the city’s nearby universities about the world of strategic communications.
