CHEVY CHASE, Md. -- Acclaimed chef and Sushiko owner Daisuke Utagawa will revisit his signature ‘subtraction’ cooking philosophy next week, with a special craft beer tasting menu at the restaurant’s Chevy Chase location.

For one night only on Tuesday, June 26th, dinner diners will be able to feast on a brand new six-course menu of Japanese cuisine presented in conjunction with beer expert Jocelyn Cambier.

Lobster and Asparagus Suimono w/ Brasseurs Illimites double porter.

Priced at $85, the all-inclusive menu will feature Edamame paired with Port City pale ale; Lobster and Asparagus Suimono (clear soup) with Brasseurs Illimites double porter; Flounder Carpaccio with White Soy and Truffle Sauce complemented by a surprise beer of Brasseurs du Monde; Honey and Soy Roasted Duck with A l’Abri de La Tempete Corps Mort; Spicy Broiled Mussels and Coronado Islander IPA and a final course of Nigiri Sushi paired with Brasseurs Illimites Imperial Stout.

Utagawa, who made headlines for his pioneering role in discovering the unique flavor that is created through the pairing of Burgundy red wine with fresh raw fish, seeks to lead guests on a new culinary journey with Tuesday's specially-crafted menu.

To be sure, all foodies will have to say upon finishing Tuesday’s dinner is a simple ‘domo’.
