GLOVER PARK -- The crustaceans put up a worthy fight on Saturday afternoon, but still ultimately wound-up on the wrong end of a wooden mallet during
Mason Inn’s inaugural ‘
Crab Feast’.
Despite being outnumbered by their opponents more than 5-to-1, the 150 or so hungry Glover Park and Georgetown residents who turned-out for the casual dinner affair easily walked away victorious (and satiated).
For a scant $25, ticketholders were treated to bushel upon bushel of piping hot local crab, complete with sides. And a bounty of drink specials, including $10 Bud Light pitchers, $6 Arnold Palmers, and $5 ‘rum runner’ shots, helped wash down such savory fare.

The Annapolis, MD-based indie rock band recently released its debut CD less than a month ago. Since that time, they have been gradually touring the Mid-Atlantic region at various music festivals and concert venues (their next D.C. performance will be at the Wonderland Ballroom on August 8th).
Still, we’re not sure if the crabs were fans…
