LeBron James has much to celebrate these days. He recently led his team to ultimate victory during the NBA playoffs and, in so doing, even managed to take Finals MVP honors. James then followed such a coup with three individual trophy wins, including male athlete of the year, during the 2012 ESPY Awards.

It was with tremendous excitement and much deserved applause that the 27-year-old champion athlete cut loose and relaxed for a bit late Friday night, during a celebratory party held in his honor at
Opera Ultra Lounge.

Arriving around midnight with an entourage of close friends, including storied entertainment promoter
Taz Wube, and quickly ushered inside by Opera owners
John Alexiades and
Walid Zeytoun and VIP Manager
Rafi Aldajani, James greeted the crowd of well-dressed fans before heading to a private table that had been specially cordoned off for him.

And with bottles of Moet & Chandon Nectar Imperial Rose and Armand de Brignac (aka ‘Ace of Spades’) champagne flowing, he was soon joined by several famous friends, including Oklahoma Thunder forward
Kevin Durant, Washington Redskins receiver
Pierre Garcon, and former Eagles and Redskins quarterback
Donovan McNabb.

While there was no word on James’ dance skills at Opera that night, it’s probably safe to say that he took full advantage of the venue’s massive 30,000 watt Funktion One sound system. Indeed, his D.C. outing this weekend will probably be one of his last late nights before he heads to London, with the rest of the U.S. Olympic basketball team, in search of yet another (golden) prize.

We can only hope another championship celebration at Opera will soon follow!
