Actress Alexis Bledel stopped by 5 Church restaurant for the IMPACTdinner celebrating Funny or Die.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Founded in late 2006 by
Will Ferrell and
Adam McKay, comedy website
Funny or Die has had a definitive impact on the entertainment industry, with the company’s first video alone (featuring Ferrell) having received more than 70 million views to date.

And honoring the creativity among artists fostered by the site since that time, the
Impact Arts + Film Fund hosted a private buffet dinner and cocktail reception Wednesday night during the halfway point of the 2012 Democratic National Convention.

It was therefore no surprise to find close to a dozen household names in attendance at yesterday’s early evening bash that took over both levels of downtown Charlotte’s
5 Church restaurant and bar.

Celebrity couples and singles alike stopped-in for a quick drink courtesy of sponsor Ciroc, including
Zach Braff and his model girlfriend
Taylor Bagley,
Jessica Alba and
Cash Warren, and
Elizabeth Banks and
Alexis Bledel, to name but a few.

The celebration served as the de facto dinner stop for many of the convention’s VIPs that night, before they made their way to the Time Warner Cable Arena to hear former President Bill Clinton speak.
