GEORGETOWN -- Monsters mashed, superheroes swooned, and witches whirled on the Georgetown waterfront late Thursday night, as Nick's Riverside Grill hosted a blowout Halloween party.
Taking full advantage of its recent restaurant-wide multimillion dollar renovation, the crowded inside bar brimmed with top flight cocktails all night long, with ticketholders enjoying bottomless glasses of practically anything.
While tasty hors d'oeuvres emerging fresh from the stainless steel kitchen might have served as a draw for hungry attendees, it was DJ Esso’s mixes on the turntables that really packed the glass-encased main dining area, which had temporarily been converted into a dance floor for the occasion.
Hosts Alec Jenkins, Leigh Anne Arnold, Camey Pelliconi, Laura Curtis, Lauren Haigler, JR Heacock, Lauren Moore, Malcolm Squire, Meagan Riley, Ryan Gribbon, Sam Sterling, and Will Quarles mingled throughout, with guests constantly streaming in from earlier evening events to end the spooky holiday amongst frightfully fun friends.
For those brave enough to weather the cold windy weather that Hurricane Sandy seemed to leave in her wake, Nick’s outdoor bar also stood at the ready and provided a temporarily calmer respite from all of the action inside.
As a reward for those who truly went the costumed distance for the night, a contest was held for the “scariest dressed”, which featured prizes like a chef’s tasting dinner for four and hefty bar tabs at Nick’s.
Scary odds of winning though, right?
