GEORGETOWN -- Just in time for all of the pomp and circumstance that will inevitably follow
President Obama’s 2013 inauguration in January,
Hu’s Wear has opened an exclusive pop-up shop inside of its multi-level Georgetown store which showcases an array of designer and couture clothing, jewelry, and accessories.

Curated in partnership with Los Angeles-based vintage shop Decades, the so called
Inaugural Salon boasts an extensive collection of gowns from such venerable design houses as Valentino, Christian Dior, Balenciaga, Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel.

To fete the launch, Hu’s Wear owners
Marlene Hu Aldaba and
Eric Eden hosted a private champagne reception on Thursday night, with several prominent D.C. business owners and notables in attendance.

And thanks to an on-going relationship with
Dom Perignon, invitees to yesterday’s early evening party were able to toast the occasion in haute style.

For the holiday season, the windows of Hu’s Wear will also be decorated with a hand-chosen mix of couture gowns, gala accessories, and limited edition Dom Perignon by David Lynch bottles, with the latter also available locally at only a select group of D.C. spirit shops (both
Pearson’s in Georgetown and
Schneider's on Capitol Hill carry them).
