GEORGETOWN -- Long a rite of passage among American young adults, the occasion was no less festive for The Capital Club's signature holiday celebration on Saturday evening, as the organization's playfully titled Santa Soiree turned 21.
  Returning yet again to Georgetown's historic City Tavern Club, the sold-out affair drew its usual complement of the District's bold and beautiful, including a handful of familiar faces regularly seen on network television.   At its core, Santa Soiree is simply an excuse to throw one of the city's best holiday parties each year for the District's twenty and thirtysomethings, with hundreds of guests happily leaping at the opportunity to show off their finest 'yuletide black tie' duds.   Spurring on ticket sales is the promise of a myriad of well-stocked bars, in addition to a nearly five-hour live performance set by a well regarded local band.   As they have in most recent years, The Winn Brothers Band took the stage this past weekend, with a variety of Motown, funk, jazz, and classic rock hits powering the dance floor.   But beyond a good time, like all of The Capital Club's events, Santa Soiree is a fundraiser for the non-profit's long tradition of supporting local and national charities and community causes, most notably the Trey Lefler Memorial Scholarship Fund at the University of the South.
