Georgetown Walks Like An Egyptian Into 2013 At Sphinx Club NYE Soiree

NORTHWEST -- As the ball dropped in Times Square on Monday evening, glasses were raised (plastic counts!) inside The Sphinx Club at Franklin Square, with more than 1,000 partygoers toasting the start of the new year.



Organized by Georgetown Events, which itself is perhaps best known for sister restaurant/bars Surfside, Bayou, and Smith Point, the late night revelry kicked-off at 9:00 p.m. and didn't let-up until 2:00 a.m.



Popular D.C.-based live '90s cover band White Ford Bronco was enlisted to energize the crowd inside the venue's massive 7,000-squarefoot Grand Ballroom, with DJ Ricky Schramm soon following on-stage after midnight.




For those who elected to send-off 2012 in style with a $149 VIP ticket (regular ones ran $99), a well-guarded private mezzanine awaited that offered premium spirits such as Tito’s Vodka, Hendrick’s Gin, and Don Julio Tequila.



And hosts Jesse Biggers, Tom Carlisle, Bill Collier, Heather Darázs, Jordan Haas, Angie Jusino, Nick Magallanes, Chris May, Cori Sue Morris, Mike Nixon, Kristina Palangi, Perry Rosen, Jake Samperton, Matt Serenius, Tom Snedeker, Mike Tabb, and Josie Taylor dutifully delivered a stylish guest list of many of the District's bold and beautiful.
