OSCAR Meets EDGAR At 94.7 Fresh FM Academy Awards Viewing Party

DUPONT CIRCLE -- The bottles of champagne were chilled, movie posters and memorabilia abounded, and the red carpet was freshly rolled-out last night, for 94.7 Fresh FM's viewing party for the 85th annual Academy Awards.



Held at the recently opened EDGAR Bar & Kitchen inside the Mayflower Renaissance Washington, D.C. hotel, yesterday's star-studded (via telecast anyway) party was hosted by the team behind the popular morning time radio program known as The Tommy Show.



A few of Washington's own celebrities, Tommy McFLY, Kelly Collis, and Jen Richer, presided over the seemingly all-night celebration which was held for the station's listeners and friends.



Kicking off the night of glitz and glamour for a handful of lucky contest winners and District notables was an early private VIP party, featuring a bottomless champagne bar courtesy of French champagne house Moet & Chandon.


Models, dressed as life-sized Academy Award statues, stood (still) at the ready throughout the event and proved to be a popular photo opportunity for guests, with the party quickly taking over all of EGDAR's bar area and dining room.


All the while, the restaurant's executive chef, Andrew Morrison, oversaw a steady stream of passed warm hors d'oeuvres and platters of charcuterie from the kitchen, which was happily devoured by the elegantly dressed crowd.


And the winner is... The Tommy Show's listeners.
