GEORGETOWN -- Warmer weather is starting to arrive in the District and, with it, comes a bevy of new spring and summer wear courtesy of the world's fashion houses.
No stranger to Washingtonians, designer clothier
GANT is one of the latest to reveal its new collection, with its signature blend of American style and European flair.
Helping the brand showcase its latest and greatest, five of the city's dapper dudes -- aptly dubbed 'GANT Guys' for the occassion -- bandied together on Tuesday night to co-host a special viewing party.
Held inside GANT's new 2,000-squarefoot
Georgetown store on M Street, the by-invitation-only affair drew over a hundred of D.C.'s most stylish.
Beyond a generous 30% storewide discount, guests also enjoyed passed hors d'oeuvres and an open bar stocked full with
DC Brau brews, wine, and champagne.
All the while, DC United star midfielder
Chris Pontius, Bibiana Executive Chef
Nick Stefanelli, Thrillist DC Editor
Leo Schmid, 94.7 FRESH FM Radio Host
Tommy McFLY, and SUSTG International Trade Group's
Lucien Zeigler could be found mingling about sporting GANT shirts, pants, sweaters, and jackets personally matched to their individual sartorial styles.
The GANT brand traces its preppy roots back to a family business that began in New Haven, Connecticut back in 1949. Today, the designer label is a lifestyle leader in international fashion, with a rapidly growing number of company-owned stores, in addition to a vast department store and boutique distribution network.
Talk about springing ahead.
