The Guest List:
NORTHWEST -- Capping a week-long series of grand opening events that included dozens of photo shoots and even a congratulatory pop-in by D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray, the Capella Georgetown formally unveiled itself to Washingtonians on Wednesday night.

Guests began the evening surrounded by flashing camera bulbs, as Capella Hotel Group Chairman & CEO Horst Schulze and Castleton Hotel Partners' Bruce Bradley joined hotel General Manager Alex Obertop for a glitzy ribbon cutting ceremony outside.

They were then ushered in to the plush interior of the property's gleaming new lobby, where chilled glasses of Taittinger champagne and even a ballerina awaited.

Tours of the 49-room self-described 'ultra luxury' hotel were first and foremost on the minds of last night's attendees and the Capella wasted no time in whisking guests up to the building's upper levels, where they experienced first-hand the tastefully appointed guest rooms and suites.

Saks Fifth Avenue at Tysons Galleria had tastefully outfitted each model space with various posh decorative accents, which undoubtedly would make the CEOs and diplomats who stay at the Capella feel right at home. Think bottles of Kilian perfume in the 'Deluxe' rooms and designer ball gowns and Louboutins in the 'Presidential' suite.

Still, the highlight of the tour for most attendees had to have been the hotel's stunning rooftop bar and pool, which provide sweeping views of everything from the Kennedy Center to the Washington Monument.

For those that worked-up an appetite exploring the Capella last night, the property's ground level Grill Room restaurant and Rye Bar stood ready throughout the event with an endless parade of gourmet small plates and craft cocktails.

That's bespoke hospitality for you. And it's now formally open for business.
