BETHESDA, Md. -- Helping keep stylish Washingtonians of all ages honest over the weekend, actress, fashion icon, and author
Jessica Alba drew hundreds of attendees to
Bethesda Row's popular 'Front Row' runway event on Friday.
The annual, signature spring fashion show served as the shopping, dining, and entertainment destination's marquee event for 2013, with the Front Row celebration itself spanning three days and boasting participation from over a dozen of the area's retailers and restaurants.
Joining Alba, as fellow VIP attendees for the weekend, was a collection of some of the country's leading female entrepreneurs.
Drybar founder
Alli Webb,
bluemercury founder
Marla Malcolm-Beck, and
Georgetown Cupcake founders
Sophie LaMontagne and
Katherine Kallins could also be found front row at the Front Row, with the latter two also serving as the occasion's emcees.
While the popup catwalk that had been temporarily erected at the center of Bethesda Lane might have received the most amount of attention over the weekend, a whole collection of surrounding happenings was also on offer, including a gratis
Aveda 'lipstick bar' and an
Equinox massage station.
Beyond enjoying the well-produced fashion presentation that was the centerpiece of Friday's festivities, Alba also took time to sign copies of her new book,
The Honest Life, as well as pose for the requisite number of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram photographs with fans.
Alba's book is but the latest product to emerge from her burgeoning
Honest Company brand, which seeks to redefine the so-called 'family brand' by providing reliable information and selling safe, stylish, and affordable products to parents.
Seating for Friday's fashion event was reserved with
Gilt City, Washington DC quickly selling-out of tickets to the show, which also boasted an open bar VIP reception at nearby
Redwood Restaurant.
Then again, Front Row seats are always in high demand every year. Honest.
