DUPONT CIRCLE -- When morning drive time radio host
Tommy McFLY turned 27 last week, he had much to celebrate. Indeed, his late night Saturday birthday celebration at popular Dupont speakeasy
HEIST capped a banner year for the Scranton, PA native.
In addition to a daily radio morning show with
94.7 Fresh FM, McFLY recently added to his already prolific resume with a recurring TV gig as a reporter for ABC 7 News.
This, of course, all comes in addition to his annual White House Easter Egg Roll Master of Ceremonies responsibilities and seemingly never-ending charitable volunteerism, with every organization from the Washington Humane Society to his alma mater at Luzerne County Community College.
This weekend's blowout bash, which began with a post-dinner champagne toast for a select group of lucky friends and family, was therefore quite well deserved.
Spotted helping the on-air boy wonder celebrate at HEIST were many of his radio and TV colleagues, including
The Tommy Show's
Kelly Collis, ABC 7 anchor
Scott Thuman,
The Pet Show host
Dr. Katy Nelson, and WTOP's
Bob Madigan.
Rather appropriately, McFLY couldn't be reached for comment the morning after his party to see how he was feeling.
