The Guest List:
DUPONT CIRCLE -- Pair one of Washington's most luxurious nightclubs with a sprinkling of fantastical fairy dust and the end result is a special fundraiser that draws beautiful people, philanthropists, and celebrities alike.

Such was the scene on Saturday night at The Huxley, with the posh Dupont hotspot playing host to Dream for Kids DC's largest fundraiser of the year.

A charitable summer soiree now in its third year, the "Midsummer Night's Dream"-themed benefit drew hundreds of guests throughout the night, with mystical promises of philanthropic fun.

Ticketholders were treated to a two hour open bar (gold tickets), passed hors d'oeuvres, a prop-laden photo booth, and provided with the whimsical opportunity to bid on a variety of silent auction items, including designer jewelry pieces and signed sports memorabilia.

But the biggest draw to the event by far was the evening's award ceremony, which honored two special invitees. Washington Redskins wide receiver Josh Morgan was presented with the 2013 'Volunteer of the Year' award for his work in mentoring the nonprofit's recent adaptive football clinic.

And 18-year-old Jerry Carroll, Jr., a longtime Dreams for Kids DC contributor, was recognized with a 'Participant of the Year' award for his motivational role in helping garner enthusiasm for the organization's programs.

Dreams for Kids DC focuses on organizing life-changing activities that empower children with physical and developmental disabilities to join with their peers in helping them actualize their full potential.

A fairy tale ending quite worthy of Lady Lenore's talents, if you ask us.
