The Guest List:
PENN QUARTER -- Some 200 lucky revelers took advantage of yesterday's near perfect weather to take in the panoramic city views afforded by the Renaissance Downtown hotel's penthouse rooftop, during a private party hosted by high-end lifestyle media brand UrbanDaddy.

Thursday evening's celebration served as the D.C. stop on the company's self-described 'Evening of Rediscovery' tour, which seeks to showcase some of each city's so-called hidden gems in connection with a similar digital push on the UrbanDaddy website.

For those lucky Washington tastemakers in attendance at last night's party that meant a variety of savory, sweet, and liquid treats were on offer, including dishes and drinks from G Sandwich by Mike Isabella, P.J. Clarke's Sidecar, B Too, Chez Billy, Hanoi House pop-up Maketto, Golden Brown Delicious (aka GBD), and even the not-yet-open Bluejacket Brewery.

Between bites of boudin noir waffles, fresh oysters, sweet corn velouté, steamed Cha siu bao, and, of course, delicious donuts, guests were treated to a live performance by "acoustic guitar playin'" singer/songwriter Justin Jones followed by a DJ set from Micha Vellian.

All the while, relaxing (and free) massages were being doled out inside the penthouse suite itself courtesy of VIDA Fitness.

The occasion was especially memorable as rooftop access to the hotel is normally reserved strictly for guests staying in one of the Renaissance Downtown's three palatial presidential suites.

But again, that's just the kind of hidden gem of a destination that UrbanDaddy is trying to highlight to its readers.
