GEORGETOWN -- It was the men's turn to play on Wednesday evening, as
Capitol File Magazine seized the D.C. social spotlight for its annual Men's Issue party.
Indeed, playing (or gaming rather) was just another part of the night's program, with the
Entertainment Software Association (ESA) signing-on as a co-host for the private Georgetown celebration.
To such an end, ESA President and CEO
Michael Gallagher could be spotted mingling about the modern
T Square Loft event space with
Capitol File Publisher
Heather Zahn, newly appointed Editor-in-Chief
Elizabeth Thorp, and the rest of the luxury magazine's senior editorial and business teams.
From the table piled high with
Godiva chocolate truffles that greeted them upon entry to the signature
Green Hat cocktails being mixed-up to the crowded
Civil cigar bar that commanded attention, guests were treated to a variety of posh amenities.
Much as it had been during the magazine's blowout
White House Correspondents' Association Dinner after party, Clear Channel Media was enlisted to help curate the evening's soundtrack, which came courtesy of
DJ Image.
And, this being an ESA-sponsored party, there was naturally plenty of video game console stations scattered about -- each featuring one of the industry's recent blockbuster hits, such as 'Madden NFL 25'.
Still, all of the entertainment quickly faded into the background as soon as some of the more recognizable invitees arrived, including
Washington Redskins wide receiver
Josh Morgan and team captain
Stephan Bowen.
Think less 'two and a half men' and more like 250.
