MCLEAN, Va. -- Posh suburban shopping destination
Tysons Galleria continued its month-long '25 Years of Luxury' anniversary celebration last weekend, with an appearance by worldwide fashion blogging phenom
Bryanboy.
The Manilla blogger who quickly rose through the online sartorial ranks to become one of the industry's most sought-after voices (he's a favorite of Marc Jacobs, among others) entertained budding Washingtonian fashionistas with tales of his celebrity encounters and front row runway exploits, during a playfully candid Q&A session moderated by Pulitzer Prize-winning fashion critic
Robin Givhan.
However, the
Vogue-endorsed 'Power' blogger's head-turning style choices weren't left purely for audience members to imagine in their heads. Rather, Tysons Galleria had arranged for a handful of models to demonstrate his seasonal endorsements using items and accessories available from some of the luxury mall's marquis tenants, such as Burberry and Ferragamo.
With numerous collaborations under his belt, including projects with Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Hugo Boss, H&M, and Diet Coke, the chance to pick Bryanboy's brain firsthand comes as a huge coup for the D.C. metropolitan region.
And the some one hundred fashion bloggers, boutique owners, and style setters who scored coveted access to last Saturday's event were quick to take advantage, with most lining-up after the panel for the chance to talk (and pose for a picture) with the 'super blogger'.
Bryanboy graciously agreed to every request and remained the consummate gentleman throughout. Good manners, after all, never go out of style.
Tysons Galleria's 25th anniversary celebration continues today, with Macy's fashion directors Nicole Fishelis and Durand Guion leading a conversation from 12:00p.m. to 2:00p.m. about how style and design translate in today's digital age.
