NORTHWEST -- The sweeping views of Washington might be the same, but just about everything else at POV has been redesigned and upgraded as part of a month-long renovation project for the W Washington, D.C.



To celebrate the reveal of the inspiring new interior, the posh hotel hosted a private celebration on Friday evening that drew hundreds of the city's notables.



Among the VIPs spotted milling about was Washington Wizards point guard John Wall and 'The Daily Show' correspondent Jason Jones, who both graciously accommodated fans by posing for dozens of selfies.



Guests to Friday's party enjoyed choice selections from POV's cocktail and dining menu, which has been reconceived as part of the renovation to feature a variety of new options.



Beyond the tasty treats, cool cocktails, and spectacular views afforded by the venue's prime location next to the White House, everyone was treated to a series of special performances by the DJ and electric violinist duo known as The Dolls (real names Mia Moretti & Caitlin Moe).




Perhaps the District's most recognizable rooftop lounge and terrace accessible by the general public, POV has long been a favorite destination for locals and visiting travelers alike.



Countless number of celebrities have made the space their personal, albeit temporary, playground, including everyone from Kevin Spacey to Dave Navarro to First Lady Michelle Obama.



And this summer's refresh will ensure that many more are guaranteed to stop by for a visit in the future. Consider it 'Whatever/Whenever 2.0'.
