The Morrison Brothers Band perform during the second annual 'A Night Under The Stars' benefit for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
NORTHWEST -- Despite the dome of the United States Capitol sparkling in the background, the attention of the crowd gathered at the
Jones Day building on Saturday was firmly focused on the evening's purpose.
Indeed, it was on that night that the Mid-Atlantic chapter of the
Make-A-Wish Foundation's Young Professionals Council hosted its signature annual benefit for 2014.
Labeled 'A Night Under The Stars', the invitation promised nothing less than magic. And the group more than delivered.
Beyond the standard fundraiser mainstays, such as a silent auction, bottomless drinks, and a photo booth, the event also treated ticketholders to a live music performance by
The Morrison Brothers Band, which kept the dance floor crowded throughout the evening.
While only an annual celebration, 'A Night Under The Stars' highlights the year-long commitment of the nonprofit's young professionals, who tirelessly support Make-A-Wish's herculean mission to grant wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses.
Because sometimes the stars really are within reach.
