Rent the Runway founders Jenn Hyman and Jenny Fleiss flank fashion designer Christian Siriano.
GEORGETOWN -- Navigating the fashionable undercurrents of Washington's seemingly never-ending gala season got a whole lot easier last week, with the arrival of
Rent the Runway's new Georgetown showroom.
To commemorate the occasion, the upscale dress and accessory rental service pioneer hosted a lively launch party on Monday evening at the gleaming new M Street outpost.
Rent the Runway cofounders
Jenn Hyman and
Jenny Fleiss were joined by celebrated fashion designer
Christian Siriano in formally feting the grand opening of the brand's newest location (its second brick-and-mortar branch outside of New York City).
A glamorous group of stylish D.C. residents wasted no time in welcoming the trio to Georgetown, as the District happens to be one of the largest markets for the five year-old company.
The showroom offers a menu of convenient services for customers, including personal styling, pickup, drop off, and dress exchange options, as well as an innovative 'selfie mirror' that can snap 360-degree photos of shoppers.
While perusing row upon row of the latest designer accessories and duds, guests to last night's party were also treated to plates of tasty macaroons and even a crepe station courtesy of nearby French cafe
Malmaison.
Still, the biggest treat was the chance to talk one-on-one with Siriano, Hyman, and Fleiss themselves, who all happily made themselves available for questions as well as countless Instagram photos.
Undoubtedly, Washington has bought in to Rent the Runway's a la mode magic.
