DUPONT CIRCLE -- It would take a lot more than a little rain (or torrential downpour, as the case may be) to disrupt one of the District's most fashionable fall parties.
Case in point: The crowded corridors of historic Anderson House on Tuesday night, as many of the city's finest braved the weather to attend
Washingtonian Magazine's annual 'Style Setters' celebration.
One of the year's hottest tickets for members of D.C.'s burgeoning fashion community, the stylish soiree honors some of the year's best dressed Washingtonians, as chosen by Fashion Editor
Sarah Zlotnick.
Among the honorees for 2015 is First Lady Michelle Obama's makeup artist,
Carl Ray, NBC News Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent
Andrea Mitchell, Firehook Bakery cofounder
Pierre Abushacra, and fashion blogger
Cathy Anderson.
Guests to this year's bash were greeted throughout the venue by both style and refreshment stations courtesy of several of
CityCenter's luxe resident boutiques and restaurants, such as
CH Carolina Herrera,
Longchamp,
Fig & Olive, and
Mango Tree.
All the while, they were free to explore the exhibits on display inside the house museum. Located on Embassy Row near Dupont Circle, Anderson House serves as the national headquarters for the Society of the Cincinnati, a private organization that 'preserve[s] the ideals and fellowship of officers of the Continental Army who served in the Revolutionary War.'
How convenient that the colors red, white, and blue never go out of style, eh?
