The Dandelion Patch CEO Heidi Kallett cuts the green ribbon at Thursday night's Georgetown grand opening celebration.
GEORGETOWN -- Owner and CEO,
Heidi Kallett, was more than excited to welcome guests to
The Dandelion Patch’s grand opening at the
Georgetown Park Mall on Thursday night. The celebration marked the fourth addition to the rapidly expanding stationary store's family, but The Patch’s first inside the District proper.
The Vienna-based stationary chain first opened its doors in 1994 and has been “making things personal” ever since. In 2010 alone, Heidi has won several awards for her exceptional leadership abilities, and has been featured almost regularly in magazines, newspapers, and across TV land.
At the grand opening, guests sipped champagne and snacked on sweet treats while exploring the store’s vast collection of stationary. They have an invitation for any and every occasion!
With binders full of designer cards from the likes of
Vera Wang and
Kate Spade, The Patch is certainly the place to go for the most stylish wedding invitations. We couldn’t help but skim through the pages and pick out all our favorites!
Later in the evening, friends and family gathered around the entrance for a formal ribbon cutting ceremony. With
Pamela's Punch's
Pamela Sorensen, social entrepreneur
Katherine Kennedy,
DailyCandy's
Annie Lou Bayly, and
ABC 7's
Natasha Barrett all encouraging her on, Heidi brandished a very large pair of scissors -- seriously, they were about half the size of Heidi! -- and declared the store to be officially open with a single clean cut!
Whether you are looking for a birthday card, wedding invite, or just something to brighten someone’s day,
The Dandelion Patch can easily be the “go to” place for all your stationary needs.
