POTOMAC, Md. -- On a busy Wednesday night that saw John Legend hosting a posh shopping event at Gucci's Tysons Galleria location, Kevin Spacey walking the red carpet downtown at Landmark E Street Cinema for his latest film, and the Nats unveiling their new uniform at the ballpark, the real party was held amidst the rolling green hills of Potomac, Maryland!

There, in the elegant home of philanthropist and KEEN National Board Member Amanda Polk, a few dozen friends and local style setters had gathered for an exclusive first look at some of the latest pieces from renowned D.C. jewelry design firm Ann Hand.

Well-known for accessorizing some of the country's most distinguished women (Hillary Clinton, Jill Biden, Laura Bush, Condoleezza Rice, Geena Davis, and Aretha Franklin are all fans), Ann Hand also has a long list of male followers, including President Bill Clinton who was often spotted sporting her signature eagle cuff links.

Last night's stylish soiree was co-hosted by the designer brand's Gemologist and Business Development Manager, Ashley Taylor. Also the co-chair of the insanely popular Washington Ballet Jete Society Dance Party, Ashley has recently helped introduce Ann Hand's designs to some of the District's younger professionals.

And rather fittingly, watching both Amanda and Ashley co-host together last night was much like watching a ballet performance! While one greeted guests with a smile and a hug, the other would pop a bottle of Veuve Clicquot and offer-up a chilled glass.

Homemade cupcakes (adorned with edible jewels themselves!) and other both sweet and savory bites filled a polished glass table in the living room, while row after row of gleaming jewels had been carefully laid out throughout the billiards room and across the adjacent marble bar area.

With guests sipping, nibbling, and trying-on sparkling accessories, the mood throughout the night was cheerful, playful, and festive all at the same time.

Even John Legend would have had to give a Hand to such a fun party!
