“Awws” and “Oohs” were ever-present at Sunday's baby shower for WUSA9/CBS's Angie Goff. The party was hosted at the beautiful Potomac home of Dr. Alex Mehrnaz Naini.
POTOMAC, Md. -- Love, excitement, and humor were the theme on Sunday as more than forty women gathered for a baby shower in honor of
Angie Goff —
WUSA 9’s morning personality—and her soon-to-arrive baby girl. The event was held in Potomac at the home of Angie’s dear friend,
Dr. Alex Naini, who hosted the tickled pink occasion along with Angie’s two sisters,
Tricia Driscoll and
Jenny Goff.
Guests enjoyed mouth-watering vegan fare by
Von Der Pool Gourmet, as well as delectable cupcakes by
Frosting, A Cupcakery. The hostesses served mimosas and fashioned a gorgeous treat bar with cookies and near-overflowing bowls of candy, including
personalized M&M’s bearing photos of Angie and “Baby A” (via sonogram, of course).
Angie was radiant among this group of friends that included women from various circles in her life. Among those present were many of Angie’s
AOPi sorority sisters, as well as friends from the news world and D.C.’s fashion and social scene. And after seeing Angie enjoy this special occasion firsthand, one thing is certain: Angie and motherhood are going to fit hand-in-hand, and Angie has an army of friends ready to support her every step of the way.
