ADAMS MORGAN-- Counting everything from a world tour to marathon studio sessions to magazine photo shoots to a new apartment, it's pretty safe to say that DJ Neekola had a banner 2010.

Thursday night represented the culmination of such massive hard work and success, as she took over Adams Morgan's District nightclub for the release party of her debut album, Playtime.

And while "Thundersnow" might have emptied the District's streets for the day, 18th Street's most upscale late night hotspot was overflowing with revelers for the occasion.

We spotted everyone from Washington Life Executive Editor Michael Clements and his talented web designer/photographer fiancé Anchyi Wei to fashion photographers Tim Coburn and Jonathan Thorpe to epgPR President Erika Paola Gutierrez to Evolution Look's Paul Wharton to nightlife impresarios Mathew L. Hebert and Nayef Issa among the crowd last night.

VIP ticketholders were treated to a trio of complimentary specialty cocktails courtesy of CIROC Ultra Premium Vodka on the second floor of the modern venue, while District Events Manager Glenda Fu (aka "G-Fu") presided over the well-stocked bars on the main level.

And models wearing the latest designs from Carlos Reaves' Cantoire collection, complete with Jezabelles shoes, mingled throughout the night -- a fitting touch to an evening sponsored by the Greater Washington Fashion Chamber of Commerce.

After an opening DJ performance by J-Punch, DJ Neekola herself began a live two-hour set at approximately 11:30 p.m. that rotated between tracks from her album and popular club favorites.

She was joined on District's balcony by producing partner Rex Riot, Coburn (with whom she co-starred in the album's first music video), and Kamajian on bongos.

While the playing of "Memoriam" -- a tribute track that Neekola started working on with the late DJ Rich Webb last year -- was arguably the most emotional point of the night, it was the album's title track (complete with balloons and glitter) that set the crowd's feet on fire.

Dirty female or not, it's clear that DJ Neekola knows how to play... Congratulations Nicole!
