GEORGETOWN -- Quashing the misleading conception that beauty is only skin deep once and for all, Georgetown’s luxurious Nectar Skin Bar threw open both its doors and heart to the Fashion for Paws program of the Washington Humane Society on Wednesday evening, with a special “beauty bash”-themed fundraiser.

Nectar owners (and real life Washington power couple) Amy Little Thomas and Brian Thomas invited dozens of the city’s animal lovers to join them in the tranquil outdoor patio area of their Wisconsin Avenue flagship location, for chilled glasses of wine and lemonade and plenty of savory hors d’oeuvres courtesy of dc Taste catering.



And while anyone would be content to simply while the evening away in such a pristine setting, the occasion was made all the more memorable by the fact that 10% of the proceeds from all beauty bar products and spa treatment appointments purchased during the party was earmarked to helping some of the District’s furriest residents.


Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful (four-legged) friendship…
