GEORGETOWN -- In advance of tomorrow’s
big dinner,
Washington Life Magazine held a private reception on the lower levels of the elegant
George Town Club, with
Tom Bulleit serving as the guest of honor and Associate Publisher
John Arundel graciously hosting.
A handful of lucky guests walked away with autographed bottles of Bulleit Bourbon.
Guests were invited to enjoy a live jazz concert performance courtesy of the D.C. Jazz Festival, as well as a series of whiskey specialty cocktails mixed-up by
ARTINI 2012 winner Joseph Ambrose.
Mixologist Joeseph Ambrose.
Indeed, Georgetown residents were provided with a special treat in getting access to Ambrose’s prime bartending skills in their own neighborhood, as he normally spends his time behind the counters at the W Hotel’s
P.O.V Terrace & Lounge adjacent to the White House.
Thanking the crowd for attending,
Bulleit Bourbon’s namesake let the flowing drinks do most of the talking in modestly asking people to “try [his] bourbon” because “it tastes good.”
And judging by the smiles of those guests leaving well past the pre-announced party end time, the bourbon tasted good indeed!
