GEORGETOWN -- With a fashionable display of flair, leading multi-brand retailer INTERMIX hosted a grand opening party on Tuesday night to celebrate its newly relocated Georgetown store.

Between bouts of shopping amidst the rows of on-trend clothing and accessories from the likes of Stella McCartney, Chloe, Fendi, Proenza Schouler, Herve Leger, and Alexander McQueen, guests were treated to bottomless cocktails courtesy of vodka sponsor Svedka.

And despite being on the tail end of a series of sold-out shows at the 9:30 Club, popular electropop band Passion Pit nevertheless still found the time to stop by the celebration for a live set.

Formerly situated in a plum M Street-facing, corner spot at The Shops at Georgetown Park, the recently unveiled space occupies 2,700-squarefeet at the entrance of the Georgetown Design District’s Cady’s Alley.

The interior of the new store boasts a modern vibe with a historical twist, much like D.C. itself. To such an end, traditional finishes (e.g., leather table tops, wood floors, paneling) are artfully blended with more modern elements, such as brushed metals, exposed ceiling, and the cement plaster treatment on the walls.

The INTERMIX brand has, since inception, focused on individualistic dressing, evolved personal style, and superior client service by mixing “lasting luxuries with of the moment pieces to create an exception, compelling fashion perspective.”

Truly a timeless approach to retailing, from one location to the next.
