DUPONT CIRCLE -- What's the best way to wash down the little steamed parcels of deliciousness that emanate from the kitchen at Ping Pong Dim Sum? Why with charitable glasses of wine, beer, and other specialty libations, of course.


And so The Washington Ballet's Jete Society -- the dance company's young professionals subgroup -- hosted its first happy hour fundraiser of the year last night, inside the handsome Dupont Circle location of the small plate eatery.


A percentage of Thursday evening's sales was earmarked for the organization's philanthropic fund in support of The Washington Ballet's EXCEL! community engagement program at THEARC.


Next up for the Jete Society is its beerballet&bubbly event on Wednesday, January 30th, which offers an open rehearsal sneak preview of the dance company's upcoming production of L'Amour.
